David P. Wise, MD, DDS is the
medical director of the Facial Surgery Center, a center he helped found in 1996. He received his medical
degree and surgical training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska and his dental degree from the University
of Iowa College of Dentistry in Iowa City, Iowa. He earned his Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Biology at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and he practiced general dentistry in Garden Grove, California for three years. Dr. Wise is Board Certified for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He is a Clinical Professor at
West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery and a Clinical Assistant Professor at West Virginia University School of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He is currently Chief of the Department of Surgery at the Charleston Area Medical Center and the President of the Kanawha Medical Society. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the
American Dental Association, and the American Society of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Wise’s special interests include sleep apnea, cosmetic surgery, hair transplants, and dental implants.
